I am selling a 1996 Johnson Ocean Runner 175 HP Outboard. These are great motors. Some would say bullet proof! They are very well designed and very reliable.
This engine has very little hours on it. The lower unit was rebuilt last year with new bearings and seals.
This outboard is on my "personal boat", a 21 ft Striper which is why it doesn't have many hours. This engine pushes my 21 Striper extremely well (30 MPH with 6 adults) and has more throttle than I care to use!
I am repowering my 30 ft Sport Fishing charter boat with 2 new Suzuki 4-Stroke outboards and got a better deal on 3 engines.
I bought a Suzuki trolling motor for my 21ft Striper last year and want a new matching Suzuki main motor as I approach retirement from chartering ...thus I am selling my Johnson.
It comes complete with controls, steering and new gauges as my new outboard can't use any of it.
